But why not visit one of my stockists while I'm away?

Summer Ordering

I am very excited that I have been accepted to study at the world renowned Pilchuck Glass School in the U.S.A. this summer! However this means that I will be away from the studio from the end of May until the beginning of July. So please bare this in mind when ordering.
Any orders placed while I'm away will not be processed until I return.

A Promotion for the Duck

I am pleased to announce that the panel of judges at Design Factory have moved me the higher level of membership to 'Flair'.

I have also been accepted as one of the latest members of DesignGap.

Bee Stud Earrings

These earrings are the cutest! Perfect for wearing when the sun finally makes an appearance.

How exciting!

I am honored to have been presented with Silver in the Craft & Design Selected Awards for Glass!
Thank you so much to all of you who voted during the public voting! The judge for the category said some lovely things about my work. Read more in my blog.

Classes

If you are looking for an original gift for someone (or just a fun day for yourself!),  then why not buy a private lampworking class at the Duck in a Bucket studio? Previous glass making experience is not necessary.

See the tuition page for more information, class descriptions and prices.  Contact me for available dates and gift vouchers.

Above:  Some examples of the sort of bead making techniques you can learn in a beginners class.

I am also available to run classes at schools and other studio locations. I am CRB checked and have appropriate insurance.

Class dates are now unavailable until July '13. Get yours booked to avoid disappointment! Unfortunately Mondays are no longer available as glass blowing has taken over.

At a glance

Every piece at Duck in a Bucket Designs is individually handmade by Ema Kelly, so no two will be exactly the same, making each one all the more special.

Using hot glass techniques, Ema takes inspiration from her surroundings, the outdoors, and even the glass itself, to create her contemporary ranges of homeware, gifts, and jewellery.  Her use of bold colours combined with minimalist forms has made her work striking and desirable to an array of clientele.  Designs interchange between playful and elegant, all the time illustrating the tactile fluidity of the material and the vibrancy of colours available.

Visit the online shop to take home your very own Duck in a Bucket Designs treat, have a look at which retail shows you can go to buy work in person, or see if there is a stockist near you. If there is a variation of a design that you would like (eg. colour/size), just ask!

    Thanks for visiting,
